Mastering the Aritool in AutoCAD: Your Ultimate Guide 🚀👩💻🏗️
Hello and welcome to this blog post series of AutoCAD. Today we are going to learn how to use theAritoolin AutoCAD.
The Aritool is available in the Modify Panel of the Home tab. Here we have thisArit dropdown. If you click on this dropdown, you can see we have three tools here: Click Tangular Array, Path Array and Polar Array. So first of all, we are going to see this spectacular Aritool.
Why choose the Aritool?
The Aritool offers numerous benefits compared to other tools in AutoCAD. It allows you to create arrays quickly and efficiently, saving you time and effort.
Step-by-step guide on using the Aritool
- Create a shape (rectangle, circle, spline) 🔹 Create a rectangle here. I will specify length value as 15 and width value as 10. So this rectangle is created.
- Select the Aritangular Array tool from the dropdown.
- Select objects: The command line prompts you to select objects. So, I will select this newly created rectangle and press Enter.
- Choose the association setting: The first option is associated. If you click on this option, you can see currently it is set to guess. Which means there will be an association between the parent body which we created and the Arit objects. If you choose this no option, there will be no association between the parent body and the created array objects.
- Specify the count: Enter the number of columns and rows.
- Adjust spacing: Specify the distance between columns and rows.
- Create your array! 🎉
Using the Aritool with Paths and Polar Arrays
- Create a spline here.
- Select objects: The command line prompts you to select objects. Select the shape you created earlier.
- Choose the Path Array tool.
- Select the path curve: Select the newly created spline.
- Create your array along the path! 🎉
- Use the fill and type path option for even more flexibility!
Polar Arrays
- Create a circle here.
- Select objects: The command line prompts you to select objects. Select this newly created circle.
- Choose the Polar Array tool.
- Select the center point of your largest circle.
- Specify the number of items and fill angle as per your requirements.
FAQs
- Q: Can I use the Aritool to create arrays in other shapes like ellipses or polygons?
A: Yes, you can! Simply select the shape you want to array when prompted by the command line. - Q: What happens if I choose the no association option for my array objects?
A: The array objects will not be linked to the parent body. This may make it more difficult to modify your original shape. - Q: Can I use the Aritool with other tools like the 3D modeling tools in AutoCAD?
A: Yes, you can! The Aritool is versatile and can be used with a variety of tools within AutoCAD. - Q: Are there any limitations to using the Aritool?
A: There are no significant limitations to using the Aritool, however, it may not always be the best choice depending on the complexity and type of array you need to create. - Q: Can I animate my arrays in AutoCAD using the Aritool?
A: No, animations cannot be created with the Aritool in AutoCAD.
