Welcome to our video learning series on Fort O'Key, where today we will guide you through the process of creating title blocks in O'Key for ANSIA sheets. Before we dive into the details, remember that the sheet size for ANSIA is 11 inches by 8.5 inches.
To start, we need to set the imperial units and choose the soil type (U). Next, change the length type to architectural in precision to 16th of an inch.
Create a rectangle with the dimensions 11 inches by 8.5 inches using Add3, 11, 8.5. However, since this rectangle is not visible yet, set it and invoke the zoom tool to make sure it's in place.
Offset the rectangle lines individually using the offset tool. This will create space for adding relevant information such as sheet title, company logo, drawing number, etc.
Create different boxes in the title block where you can add your specific information. For example, a box for the sheet title, another for the sheet number, date, drawn by, etc.
Create a new text style format for the title block. Choose bold, serif font and set the height to 3x16 of an inch. Use multi-line text to write your title, number, date, and other information.
Once you have created your title block, shift it to the layout by copying with baseboard and pasting in the layout area.
If necessary, adjust the size of the title block so that it fits inside the plot boundary. Use the stretch tool to achieve this.
Congratulations! You have now learned how to create a title block in O'Key for an ANSIA sheet. In our next video, we will guide you on how to save your title block as a template so that it can be easily reused.
