Hello and welcome to this video learning series of WaterCat! Today, we will learn how to create name plot styles in WaterCat. To start, let's open a new file.

Step 1:Open a New File

  • Go to the File menu
  • Select New > Blank Drawing

Step 2:Choose Template

  • In the Select Template Dialog Box, choose the AutoCat Named Plot Styles Template

Step 3:Create a New Circle

  • Using the circle tool, create a new circle

Step 4:Assign a Name Plot Style to the Circle

  • To assign a name plot style to the circle, go to the Print menu
  • Select Managed Plot Styles from the dropdown

Step 5:Create a New Named Plot Style

  • In the Plot Styles Window, double-click on the Add Plot Style Table Wizard option
  • Choose New and click Next
  • Select Named Plot Style Table and click Next
  • Specify a name for your new plot style and click Next

Step 6:Customize Your New Named Plot Style

  • In the Add Plot Style Table Window, customize your plot style as desired (e.g., change line weight, line type)
  • Click Finish when done

Step 7:Apply Your New Named Plot Style to the Circle

  • To apply your new named plot style to the circle, go to the Layer Properties Manager
  • In the Plot Style Column, select your newly created plot style from the list

Step 8:Plot the Circle

  • Now that your new named plot style is assigned, you can plot the circle as normal
  • Choose Plot > Plot from the menu
  • Save the plotted file to any location you choose.
